Inspired visions of authenticity, simplicity and an understated elegance are the essence of the Purple Door, within these private doors fashioned by a galaxy of creative talents. The tradition and the love of the old classics in beauty and fashion, with the spirit of the new, unite in a majestic harmony of style.

The Purple Door opened their doors in 1990, on Lenox Rd, where Dwight Eubanks (Founder) begin his adventure designing professional images for women in the corporate world. Shortly after he moved to Paces Ferry Place in Buckhead and earned the respect of community.

Dwight established a design team of artist, from makeup, hair, and fashion designers to form a fashion icon in Atlanta; working with magazine editors, commercials, photographers’ and film producers for various shows and projects.

The Purple Door team of consultants teaches that image is important in todays market. Brunch classes are held, summarizing basic needs of the consumer, such as how to look and feel confident in and out of the office. Seminars are scheduled years in advance for institutions and universities around the world, including New York, Paris, and Dubai, for students and faculty.

The Purple Door soon moved to a more central location, downtown Atlanta in 2003, in the Sweet Auburn community. At this time, Jamell McDowell Young joined Eubanks as co-owner of the Purple Door.

"We love working with many community programs in the neighborhood, like Pampering for Peace, a fight against victims of domestic violence".

Our Teenage Aids program helps our youth to face the need to get help and not to be ashamed, but knowing and spreading the word that information and resources for homes and healthcare are available.

“In todays economy, so little means so much, we have to pull together, and share the wealth of knowledge and inspiration to overcome.

"Having done hair for more years than I care to count, I know that clients measure the quality of their service by how amazing they look and feel, long after theyve left the salon" Dwight Eubanks.

"We work for perfection, we create, enrich, and renew your overall experience, we are waiting to welcome not customers, but friends”, Dwight Eubanks, Jamell McDowell, and the Purple Door.
